A big-flavored and elegant Shiraz. One of the few wines to be made using a basket press which gently presses the fermenting grapes extracting only the favored soft tannins and rich flavors. It has a raspberry and blackberry fruitiness to which the year spent aging in small, American oak barrels adds mint and chocolate. Delicious with barbecue roasted beef, lamb or gourmet sausages.

d'Arenberg's Galvo Garage has a deep, vibrant red-purple color. The nose shows a complex array of blackcurrant, cassis, mulberries, dark plums and cherries. Subtle spices of cinnamon, nutmeg and cedar add complexity and show a potential for the wine to open more with time. The Bordeaux-like tannins are fine and plentiful, with an abundance of intertwined fragrant fruit hanging in the mouth well after the wine has been consumed: a very refreshing but classically styled wine that should age gracefully for many years. It is a black wine with a great purple hue. Intense, young purple fruits and flowers combine to yield an intense, extremely inviting aroma. The palate starts with a huge Wam! of flavor. The palate, while richer, further turns into a very full, chocolate, spicy and ripe fruit wine, with great length and acidity.

Shiraz Cabernet (60% Shiraz, 40% Cabernet). This wine was created in a traditional Australian dry red style, blending Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon to give a full bodied, ripe and flavorsome wine. The color is bright crimson, the nose is distinctive and the flavors are of berry-like Shiraz with hints of black pepper and rich oak. A blend of complex flavors is the feature of this great wine.

Flavors of gooseberry, nettles and fresh-cut with celery and tropical fruit. A fine minerality and crisp acidity. The result is an interlaced, delicious wine. Serve with fresh fish and shellfish in a wide range of preparations; and also works well with aromatic foods.
