Bin No. 27 - Finest Reserva
Size: 750ml
Fonseca Bin No. 27 was created over a century ago for family consumption, and only released commercially in 1972. It is produced primarily from wines from Fonseca's own quintas in the Cima Corgo and thus shows an exceptional quality and consistency from year to year. Blended from reserve wines selected for their intense fruit character and depth of color, Fonseca Bin No. 27 spends four years in large wood vats prior to bottling. Bin No. 27 is ready to consume when bottled. Its well-knit structure, rich, velvety full body and luscious blackcurrant and cherry flavors, also evident in the nose, carry into an intense, lingering finish. Bin No. 27 should be served at room temperature either alone or with simple, classic last courses and desserts.

Meyer Family Cellars
CA
Port
Size: 500ml
Justin and Bonny Meyer began a long-term project to develop a unique port-style wine that would be based on richly flavored old-vine zinfandel grapes married with pot-still alembic brandy and blended into a continuing cuvee — a "solera" if you will - producing a tawny colored port. The blending of the young wine with the older cuvee is allowed to slowly develop in American oak barrels.
The Meyer Family Port wine has a rich aroma redolent of peppery zinfandel, sweet oak and the fine brandy used to arrest its fermentation. The resulting "marriage" leaves a dessert wine of some eight percent residual sugar with a comfortable alcohol by volume of eighteen percent. The exquisite balance of fruit, oak, sugar and alcohol is soft on the palate and long and round in the finish pairing well with a variety of fine desserts — especially chocolate!
