French - White

Fresh and satisfying, the unusually fine non-vintage Billecart Salmon is one of Champagne's greatest secrets; no doubt, a top performer! Great with a dozen or more raw oysters.

A blend of 50% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 10% Pinot Meunier, the colour lives up to the name and is a bright salmon color. Whilst not being the major composition in the blend, the Pinot tends to dominate a strawberry driven palate ahead of a long, long, lingering, finish.

A classic blend of Semillon, Sauvignon and Muscadelle.

Beautiful light yellow, with a greenish glint, it has lively aromas of white flowers, honey, fennel with a touch of anise. In the mouth, it is ample, well-balanced, supple, with enough discreet wood and a winning, spicy, finale.

This is a fresh and crisp white wine with lemon citrus and mineral tones. It finishes softly and demurely with a little spritz at the end that perks you up.

Made of 60% sauvignon gris (rare varietal!) and 40% sauvignon blanc. No barrel aging, this wine has a natural high acid and pretty bouquet.

A family owned winery established in 1861. Good intensity. An inviting nose of spice, honey, crystallized citrus fruits and pear. A smooth, rich mouth-feel, notes of dry fruits, apricot jam, marmalade and soft spice. Delicious.

Domaine Denis Carre is considered a rising star among the many great wineries of Bourgogne. This 100% Chardonnay is toasty, balanced and with hints of lime. This is a very good valued Meursault.

This lovely White Burgundy comes from a small but impeccable property on the steep slopes overlooking Solutre, one of the finest of all the Pouilly Fuisse villages. An old vine Chardonnay with bright focused flavors, a clean minerality on the palate, and good concentration. The finish is clean, bright and lingering. 100% Chardonnay.

The wine is renowned for its intense aroma of 'green' fruit and freshly cut grass. On first tasting the wine, one is struck by the intensity of the gooseberry fruit but there is a dense mineral core with nuances of vanilla that gives the wine impressive presence. Simply delicious, this wine displays candied citrus and berry aromas and flavors accented by grain. On the dry side, it lingers nicely on the finish.

A wonderfully light sparkling wine produced from 100% Ugni Blanc that is surprisingly clean, refreshing and totally dry. A fruity, elegant sparkling wine with fine bubbles and fresh palate.

Clos des Mouches white is a generous wine combining the body of Corton Charlemagne and the elegance of Montrachet. Its hue is bright, limpid, and pale golden. It has an elegantly perfumed nose of smoky citrus with tinges of vanilla. On the palate, the aromas are reminiscent of honey, almond, lemon and, as the wine gets older, grilled almonds. It is best served at 12°C (53F) and is perfect with fish or white meat in sauce. It needs at least two years in bottle to fully develop and can last 8 to 12 years.

The wines of Puligny-Montrachet are characterized by great firmness and depth as well as a great refinement and delicacy. The 2005 Louis Jadot has full-fruited depth and a seductive bouquet, marked by distinct notes of ripe peaches, for which Puligny-Montrachet is famous. The wine's harmonious elegance persists in the lasting finish. 100% Chardonnay.

Golden swirls and delicate bubbles. On the nose, aromas of fresh fruit. Supple and complex on the palate, flavours of white-fleshed fruits (pears and apples) and soft fruits (blackberries, raspberries and cherries) mingle with notes of toast and almonds. A harmonious and accomplished wine for pleasurable occasions. The champagne aperitif "par excellence", Brut Premier is a willing accompaniment to a light entree of fish or shellfish.
