This Amarone is made from the classic red grapes of Valpolicella - Corvina, Molinara and Rondinella. A deep, richly dense, inky-ruby color, a ripe ethereal nose, reminiscent of dried plums, a textured, mouth-filling taste and an elegant, lingering finish. Great body and concentration. Best paired with game dishes or strong, elegant, flavorful cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano, blue-veined Stilton or Gorgonzola; also give roasted almonds a try. Truly an impressive wine.
